St Vincent and the Grenadines Yacht Charter “Must See”

The Tobago Cays is a National Marine Park on the east coast of Mayreau. There is a collection of beautiful deserted islands protected by a horseshoe reef. The beaches are pristine and the waters inside the lagoon crystal clear. Snorkelling here is some of the best in the Caribbean and visitors have the unusual privilege of swimming near turtles. St. Vincent’s beaches are mainly black sand from volcanic rock and beautiful in their own right. In the Grenadines the sand is pure white with long stretches of pristine sand where tiny coves are accessible only by boat. The adventurous can enjoy a three-mile hiking trail to the summit of La Soufrière Volcano at 1200 meters. The trail winds through bamboo groves, old lava flows and rain forests. The volcano is one of the most scientifically studied volcanoes in the world as it is still active and last erupted in 1979. Visit model boat workshops to watch highly skilled craftsmen build detailed miniature replicas of Bequia’s boats. There are several workshops on Bequia but the oldest is owned by the Sargeant brothers, in Hamilton.
