Catamaran BARAKA Crew Profile
Captain Yann Campinos
Captain Yann is Portuguese and French. He was raised in Portugal, living most of his life between Europe and the Cape Verde islands. He graduated with his Master of Arts in Business Communication and Public Relations, and sails with a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Ocean ticket. He has sailed the South Pacific, delivered in Europe’s Atlantic & Northwest Africa, crossed the Med and sailed throughout the Caribbean Sea.
Upon discovering the Caribbean he was immediately enchanted and determined to stay. He purchased his catamaran Baraka and choose to make the Grenadines his new home. Yann has spent the past 3 years on Union island in the Grenadines, which has been a true joy.
In addition to being an accomplished kitesurfer and instructor, he is also an avid fisherman and a certified diver. He likes to make the most of sailing charters with an exciting mix of adventure, good fun, interesting conversations and great food. You may catch him taking over the galley for the night to whip up a Portuguese-style fresh fish dinner. He will take you to all the best anchorages, remote sand beaches, pristine snorkel spots, colorful beach bars, and all his favorite local spots!
Captain Yann is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
